About Me:
Personal: I am an easy going ultra liberal person having a strong sense of appreciation for nature, culture and human desires...I like most of the things in the world, and like to enjoy, know and understand few of the things which most just ignore...Rest, you will get to know when you talk to me...Overall, if you consider me from a "Good Boy-Nice Girl Morality level" I don't much fit in...as I have transgressed that level long ago since my childhood...
Professional: Maheswar Satpathy (FIAHP) completed his master’s degree in Applied (Clinical) Psychology from University of Delhi with the distinction of being the Gold Medalist in 2007. At present he is working on a project of community mental health at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur as a UGC Research Fellow. He has been trained in neuropsychology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and has completed a Certificate Course in HIV/AIDS Management (Le Countre de Seda, France). He has total of 4 years of diverse and rich work experience with National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi, Amity University, ICFAI University and Lovely Professional University. Recently he has been selected for the prestigious Australian Leadership Awards (ALA) Scholarship from SAARC region to conduct research at National centre in HIV Social Research (NCHSR), University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia by Australian Government. He has also presented several scientific papers at International & National level Forums and has published many research papers in refereed Journals and Books as chapters. His research interest concerns the areas of Social Policy, Community Mental Health, Sexuality and LGBT studies, Male Psychology and emerging cultures.
He has been a recipient of several Scholarships/Fellowships from U.G.C, Govt. of India & Orissa, President of India and other private bodies like Rotary Club (Bhubaneswar & New Delhi), etc. for academic excellence. Recently he has been selected for the highly prestigious Australian Leadership Awards (ALA) Scholarship from SAARC region to join research work with emphasis on Health, Sexuality and Culture at National centre in HIV Social Research, University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia by Australian Government.
My dream:
I wish to work in the health care sector for revitalizing the perilous modes of the health care delivery of present times, and create new paradigms, enabling people of different communities live a life of worth
I'm proud of:
My belonging to a disadvantaged background myself, as it has taught me more than what I have learnt in my 20 years of formal education
