A true story of struggle and victory over challenges

• Hello friends, we are Ujana and Pancham from Rural Aid Organization located in kalchini block, Alipurduar district, West Bengal. A few months ago we did SALT with a widow woman She is a resident of Raimatang tea estate. The story of her struggle and the strengths she holds is as follows.

• This incident happened a few years ago when her husband died untimely. There was no one else in her house except her two children. It was as if a mountain of troubles had fallen on her because there was no one else to earn in the house. Still she did not give up and started working as a labourer in a tea garden to support her family; the tea garden was also closed and the tea garden was being run by a financier. It was being run by a financier, so there was work only for half a day and the money was also less. But she used to work at some other place in the remaining half day because the money she used to get was not enough to run the house and work To fulfill the remaining needs. Somehow she was managing her family when another problem arose. Her daughter ran away with the boy she loved. Some people even started saying that leave it and let her live as she is, but her mother explained it well to her daughter and brought her back home, and now the girl is studying in 8th class. And now the whole family is living happily.
