- About Me:
- A mature lady, formed and is coordinating activities of DACKANA Home Based Care and OVC Support Project, operating in three districts. I have a passion for the sick, having looked after and buried five immediate members of my family, I have developed an urge to contribute in the fight against HIV and AIDS as well as to mitigate the impact of HIV through caring for orphans and vulnerable children. At personal level, am currently looking after five orphans and vulnerable children and seeing that they complete their education. At organization level, we are looking after 350 chronically ill clients and have withdrawn and prevented 700 children from worst forms of child labour.

- The fact that I am able to contribute to the well being of my own community in my own small way by caring and supporting orphans in my family and those of my community

These experiences and stories do not require a discussion or exchange, but comments are welcome! Some stories in the blog link directly to our knowledge asset (see tab knowledge asset).I am sure your experience will be useful to others!
Learning Together: Our Forum is the place where we learn together. If you want to discuss an element of the Competence process, or other issues related to local responses, please contribute to the forum.
