- I was one the first Americans diagnosed with HIV (when it was called GRID - Gay Related Immune Deficiency.

- To see the day when there is a cure for HIV.
- I'm proud of:
- working, protecting and advocating for people with HIV and AIDS for over 30 years. Doing holiday parties for kids with HIV called Teddy Bear Touchdowns around the world since 1989 in memory of my god-daughter who lost her battle with AIDS

If you want to discuss an element of the Competence process, or other issues related to local responses, please contribute to the forum. To participate in an ongoing discussion, sign in, go to the top of the page, click on the blue button ‘FORUM’ and then click on topic of the discussion you are interested in. In the FORUM you have an option to start a discussion on a topic of your interest.
