The 27th of July, we visited Santipur village in Udalguri. Though this a cultivation season, we managed to have a follow up discussion with village health sanitation and nutrition committee (VHSNC) President and a Village Council Development Committee(VCDC) member. Both of them have been actively involved with the SALT process since Dream Building and Action Plan. It was a moment of joy to me and Mantu when we were told that the VHSNC President Babul Tanti calls 108 to send pregnant women to hospital for delivery. Dipika Dorji, VCDC member said children are their prime responsibility, not the Government’s. If they don't grow healthy, it will be the loss of the village. They have suggested to organise another meeting so that they can plan further. We salute their commitment. Jyotika Baruah
