Hi... I am new to this network...So will take some time to "sink in "..however , i feel that any community competence should be beyond that of HIV / AIDS alone....I am in the process of developing Community Optometry skills and Trainers Training for all...will keep you posted on this soon......
Offcours i would like to share them with the peace group but, could you show me how ican do that apperrently i didn't get it wright and i have only adressed it to you kind regards Marjolein
Thanks Rituu, It is a good article about how one can turn a violence situatie in a more peacefuul way dealing with delicate isues. However i think it start with are own communication. Marshall Rosenberg is a writer on the subject how to communicate in a non-violenced way. I think whenever there is a respectfull way in our communication towards eachother the beter the change we will understand eachother and the more peacefull we can related to each other.Marjolein
Actually, I am now working with friends and colleagues on a facebook page for our region (MENA) called "HIV Free Generation". This page aims to encourage Youth to be aware about HIV/AIDS, know the essential information to protect themselves from it, get tested to know about their status and not to stigmatize or discriminate against People Living with HIV/AIDS.
it is the first e-network for all NGOs, networks, communities, support groups and people who work / are interested in the HIV/AIDS field in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Please feel free to visit it (you can also like it :) ) and to suggest it to your friends by following the below URL:
Thanks for your welcome :) Colouring Life is the name for my activities as a free-lance art teacher and illustrator, for it is my passion to translate word and concept into a strong picture. A good picture can say more than a thousand words. I think i'd like to join the peace competence group too kind regards Marjolein
Great to hear the India Competence. As a member of Cambodia AIDS Competence team, I think the extension of the network is very important to learn and share experience in order to improve HCR concept.
Last week from 15-17th of this month, i was joined to facilitate a national learning event in Cambodia, HCR was very interesting dealing with SALT.
In the real practice there were 58 participants from 28 NGOs, they had been applied SALT, while they attended the event they contributed many kinds of experiences.
Your 4th Comment is useful to expand network.
Cheers,
Marady

Dear Rituu,
Thank you a lot for your regards.
reference to your question regarding my work with youth, I used to work for 4 years with SIDC (Soins Infirmiers st Developpement Communautaire- a Lebanese Association), RANAA (Regional Arab Network Against AIDS) and MENAHRA (Middle East and North Africa Harm Reduction Association) on VCT with youths especially key populations (MSM, IDU and FSW) and capacity building.
After that, I have been the president and the founder of Think Positive Association (The first association established for and by PLHIV in Lebanon) which is in general youth-led organization and which was the lead organization of the MENA region during the IAC 2010 - Vienna.
Nowadays, I am working as a research assistant with the GNP+ on the involvement of YPLHIV and as a consultant with many organizations in the MENA region.
I hope I could summarize for you :)
I really have the honor to be part of this group and to be in touch with experts from all over the world like you.
Warm regards from Lebanon
Hassan
