Aged Care & Disability Chair Chi Training

Here's our new Aged Care & Disability Chair Chi Training video clip that members may be interested in.

It's a short clip of 4'50 duration and covers the workshop in action and interviews with staff and residents and myself at Bupa Donvale aged care here in Melbourne, Australia.

We currently run training programs for staff, carers and volunteers in aged care centres throughout Australia.

I'd be interested to read any feedback you may have to offer.

Regards
Chris

Jan - Thanks. Sue deserves a lot of credit for her behind the scenes work on this video clip - something she has done with previous AI conferences around the world

Rituu - Thanks. It's always a good feeling working with the elderly in these workshops. One of  examples of AI used in our Chair Chi workshops - 'words create worlds'

Rafique - Good luck with your aged care facility - yes, team work is essential to enrich elderley people's lives. I see that in many aged care centres I go to by observing the staff at work.

Thanks for posting Chris. I loved the energy in the group. Please share how you have used Appreciative inquiry in your work with older people.

I am glad to see your post on Aged Care. For my wife and I run a Care Home. We are based in the southern state of Kerala in India.

The name of our Care Home is Champion Care Homes, and though it is registered as a Private Limited Company, we follow the Community Life Competence Process in delivering Care for the Aged as well as any one else who need not necessarily be old.

We have found it is impossible to work, unless we work as a Team, and in order to work as a Team, we have to genuinely Support other members of the Team, Appreciate and Learn from their Strengths and Experiences, and constantly apply the After Experience Reviews to settle our differences.

Accordingly, I look forward to learn from your experiences, and Link whatever is useful to our small team in India.

Rafique
