The word Ubuntu has its origin in the Bantu languages of southern Africa. The philosophy of Ubuntu focuses on people's allegiances and relations with each other. "I am what I am because of who we all are." I quote Stanlake on Ubuntu: 'To be human is to affirm one's humanity by recognizing the humanity of others and, on that basis, establish respectful human relations with them.'
