“Yes, that’s your opinion; but what would be an example?” - deepening SALT by story telling

What I appreciate so much about SALT, is that it fosters deep connections between people. When we suspend judgment and take time to listen deeply, we arrive at a shared understanding. We meet in a field described by Rumi: “Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I'll meet you there."As facilitators, how do we allow such a field to emerge? How do we facilitate conversations so that this authentic, vulnerable human connection can build?…See More

Crossing thresholds together

“What accent do you have? You're not from around here.”  Even in a country that values social equality, there are historically rank differences between urban citizens from the large cities and the administrative centres on one hand, and residents from remote rural areas on the other hand.  In the 80s of the last century, candidates from rural areas (speaking with a distinct accent) were not accepted for trainee positions at a large bank. …See More

About Me:
I'm a organizational and social psychologist, working with individuals, teams and organizations through coaching, training and change facilitation. I have a wealth of experience. Recently I've become more interested in community building through Appreciative Inquiry and other hosting methods.
My dream:
To work more often as a change facilitator, working with concepts and tools from Deep Democracy, Theory U, Appreciate Inquiry and SALT to assist (self-directed) teams and communities.
I'm proud of:
My wealth of experience, my engagement, my ability to work with diverse groups and individuals, the value that I add to people's life's by helping them to acknowledge their strengts, and connect with what truly matters to them.

"You have gifts that I don't have. I have gifts that you don't have" Archbishop Tutu about Ubuntu

I ran into this video with Archbishop Tutu .

"A person is a person through other persons. I am human because I belong, I participate, I share. (...) You and I are made for interdependence. You and I are made for complementarity. You have gifts that I don't have. I have gifts that you don't have", Tutu says.

I find Tutu's words (and the Ubuntu perspective) very…

- Where were you born? Where were your parents born?

- How did that shape you as a…
