Condoms should be provided for free not for sell. people in rural areas cant afford to buy condoms and food at the sametime. Protection is better than cure.
HIV & AIDS presents a critical challengetag:aidscompetence.ning.com,2014-02-25:2028109:BlogPost:1312012014-02-25T13:00:00.000ZAmy Ndinda Mutungahttps://aidscompetence.ning.com/profile/AmyNdindaMutungwa

People living with HIV need alot of emotional, spiritual, psychological, social, physical and clinical support. its important for them to come together and support one another.

There are still challenges facing people in Kenya

- Adequate nutrition for people living with HIV is essential. Yet, as poverty levels are high in Kenya and food shortages frequent. People living with HIV are unable to eat a healthy balanced diet. Nutritional help is needed to help the families improve their diets using cheap and available. The medication is too strong to take without proper diet.

- Even though awareness of HIV in Kenya is high, many people living with the virus are still afraid to disclose their status and still avoid health centres that provide HIV services from fear of being seen by neighbours or community member. These issues needs to be addressed and to find a proper network between the people anf he health care workers.
What have we done and What have we not done about HIV and Aidstag:aidscompetence.ning.com,2011-08-07:2028109:BlogPost:679272011-08-07T13:27:05.000ZAmy Ndinda Mutungahttps://aidscompetence.ning.com/profile/AmyNdindaMutungwa

In my point of view, we need to move from having project- specific assistance to Developmental and Institutional Projects because this is what makes the changes sustainable.

If a person is diagnosed with HIV, his or her capacity must be built. He or she needs support to develop confidence in him/herself and take charge of his/her own fate as well as the task of convincing other positive people to come out.and this is lacking in our communities.

We must also not forget the important link between Poverty and HIV/Aids. Lack of equitable access to Education and Employment. All these have an impact on HIV transmission and fuel the epidemic and are not being addressed under most interventions.

Lets give the young people chance to lead the Crusade about HIV/Aids for a positive change. They are our future and we need them.
