Outreach Program for Marginalized Youth/Children

Posted on March 29, 2011 at 12:07pm 3 Comments

I would like to share an experience we had back then on the 19th of March. We visited an orphanage in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I wouldn't call it a SALT visit, because it wasn't conducted following exactly the values of SALT. (We were too dazed that day)

Since January 2011 until now, our team has visited 5 shelter homes. They weren't the same people in the team though, every visit we had different members to do the outreach program. Inexperienced, we never expected the…

A Personal Reflection

Posted on January 5, 2011 at 11:34am 4 Comments

I don't believe that youths want to live in apathy and ignorance, perhaps they were not given enough opportunities to explore and discover the paths they could have taken.

As a youth initiated project, we face so many difficulties. For instance, we lack in expertise and experience to execute a community project. We have to establish connections by ourselves, and often we doubt whether are we capable to make it happen? Or worst, sometimes problems may arise within the…

Dear Ng Hui Xin,
You are most welcome to AIDS Competence forum, a forum where members share freely about the epidemic. Indeed HIV can be stopped but only if we unite and say NO to it. Our sisters and brothers continue to succumb to it each minute that passes and that worries us all. I well come you to Uganda, a Country where the fight against HIV is in all sector. You can come to Health Nest Uganda ( for your internship.
Once again a very warm welcome to the forum.
