Interested in the proactive role of the community at large in assertion of right to health (with a focus on the health management with built in community systems strengthening besides mere health systems strengthening in isolation)and issues pertaining to access to equitable quality healthcare.
My dream:
Establishment of the right to health as a fully promoted, protected and widely asserted human right. Everyone must see their definite role and contribute for his/her health-which is perceived in its totality and not just as equivalent of health-care.

The socio-economic,cultural and environmental determinants of health must form the core of the perspectives and pursuits accordingly. The need to act on Community Systems Strengthening(CSS) and Social Change Communication(SCC) must be realized at all quarters.
I'm proud of:
Meaningful and faciliitatory participation of the infected and affected community in the entire continuum of prevention, care, support and treatment of HIV/AIDS and containment of the second epidemic of stigma and discrimination faced by the PLHIV.

Hi Dr. Rajesh, your exposee on the IWD was quite educative especially to young and aspiring women of this century. I have a few worries for women; alot has not changed in their favour over the past one hundred years, many are still deprived of the right to belong or share. What is the way forward?
    I enjoyed it,

Greetings Dr. Gopaul in the name of the most High Jah Rastafari...I am indeed heartened that you are adding your voice to a worthy cause, that is, Women's Rights as it relates to their welfare and security. It has been fifteen years since the Beijing Declaration which is a comprehensive narrative on what needs to be done to ensure that women are treated with care, love and respect..here in Guyana Domestic Violence has become so pervasive that almost daily one can read of women being killed by their spouses. It is really very disconcerting and disheartening...I pray for brighter days for us...
