Name
Bernice M. Obasi

The PSP Group
About Me:
I am a Communications Consultant of 26 years experience in every area of communications - corporate communications; PR and advertising as well as community engagement; conflict resolution and negotiation; social marketing and research.

I am at present in the thesis stage of my Master's in Health Promotion programme, the focus of which is on HIV and AIDS.
My dream:
My dream is to become more involved in the development and programmatic side of the HIV response. I see myself as making an emphatic contribution to improving the ways in which people treat with each other, gifted as I am with words and with a talent for encouraging difficult conversations.

My dream is twofold: to help keep the Caribbean from repeating the mistakes of Southern Africa and to spend the next decade of my life in humanitarian work, preferably in a global setting.
I'm proud of:
My openness to life's rich experiences; my commitment to the development of the Caribbean; my three sons; my willingness tolearn more and more; the three friends who together with me make up the PSP Group.

    Hello Bernice,

We missed you at the International Knowledge Fair! But I'm sure there will be other opportunities. Also, you will probably read quite some stories and impressions of the fair on Ning. Enjoy!

Feel free to contribute your thoughts and ideas as well on your blog or in a discussion on the forum.

    Hi Bernice,
Through all our emails it felt as 'friends' already - but with your picture it feels even better!! Thanks for adding it - and please feel free to share the valuable experiences from the Carribean already: stories and experiences in the blogs and discussions on ACP related issues in the forum...
    Take care,
    Marlou

    Bernice!

It's so good to see you hear, and to reconnect after a long, long time! Isn't it good to know that our all-too-short connections are not in vain?

First, your description of the T-shirt in your profile photo is hilarious!

Second, thanks for your comment on one of my stories. It really is about Grace, isn't it? Our ability to believe, despite all evidence to the contrary, that change is possible, that beauty can be revealed in brokenness? And the capacity of a loving God who will not wait to be turned to, but reaches out to be with a struggling humanity.

I'm glad we're connected again through this medium, and look forward to many rich exchanges in the future.
