SALT ignites experiential learning: Punam by applying SALT as Support, Appreciate, Learn, and Transfer, as the Way of Working or WoW, among school children has listed the gamut of emotions the children experience in their interactions within their Community of Practice (CoP). Accordingly, the children drew an apple tree to depict this list of emotions with each apple bearing the name of an emotion!

This Tree of Emotions resonates with every facilitator worth their SALT, proving that SALT can only be learnt by experiencing it in the crucible of the communities.
Also, it bears witness that Punam who has used SALT in a school, has experienced first-hand these emotions, and her documenting the gamut of emotions, that pour forth during a SALT Visit, or facilitation, has proved that SALT is learnt only by experiencing it in the sandbox of the communities!
Furthermore this landmark documentation has opened up an entirely new vista on psycho-social effects of SALT-CLCP, an area where hardly any has ventured so far. Accordingly, with SALT as Support, Appreciate, Learn, and Transfer, as the column headings and each item in the list of emotions as a row heading, we drew up a table in which each cell of this table we wrote the qualitative short note how these components of SALT Way of Working namely Support, Appreciate, Learn, and Transfer, bring about each of the fifteen emotions listed.
