Dear Moses,

Thanks for your sharing. We usually don't believe children can do things for themselves. Looking forward to hearing about the strengths the children mentioned and the feedback of the parents.

Have a nice Sunday.

Would you like to connect with Bel competence (Belgium team)?

One of the strongest country teams in the Constellation is Bel Competence. The urge to learn and strengthen their facilitation skills is high. Therefore, they hold frequent learning events to build their skills. How beautifully they do it...they get together in a place for a weekend, cook and eat together, share and learn, celebrate...heartwarming. I was fortunate to be part of such an event in July. The focus was self assessment. We also discussed the connection between SALT and CLC.

Here is an upcoming event organised by Belcompetence

Hi friends,

How are you? Wanted to inform you about a blog by David Evans. In this David shares about an example of community engagement in the issue of food security in Kenya. http://aidscompetence.ning.com/profiles/blogs/hunger-summit

Global Knowledge Fair, India

20-24th November 2012

Are you are intrigued by SALT and would you like to experience it?

Is your community making progress towards its dream and are you excited to share your experience?

Would you like to meet colleagues and friends with whom you have been exchanging virtually?

IndiaCompetence, with SIAAP as a host, is inviting you to participate in the Constellations Global Knowledge Fair in India from 20th to 24th November 2012.

During these five days we will learn from the strengths of Indian communities, take stock of our global experience with local responses and set fertile ground for further spread of Community Life Competence?

This will be a life changing experience” says Nicole from Guyana.

“ I will definitely be there” affirms Ruben, UNAIDS Guyana.

“I think this is the next step for the Constellation”observes David from Sierra Leone.

With their sharing, learning and appreciation participants re-energise and rejuvenate the local communities.

People have visited us and our communities before. I am sure the visitors too have been elsewhere; Usually, there are good experiences and even great experiences, inspirational experiences, which stay with one. This time, the experiences went beyond that; they are transferring and triggering off newer and newer experiences. There is a sense of joy and wonder that does not seem to cease.” Sanghamitra, Samraksha, host of International Knowledge Fair 2010..

Participants will cover their own travel costs and a fee to cover local travel, accommodation, meeting costs, facilitation, lunch and dinner.

We are also looking for volunteers for the International Knowledge Fair working group which will look into mobilising resources, facilitation and (logistical) preparation and follow up .

For further information please contact Rituu B Nanda rituu@communitylifecompetence.org
Warm regards,

Dear April and Meble,

Would it be possible for you to share the story of Dorcus Beads from Eastern Kenya. They sent beautiful souvenirs to the new Constellation board members. Kenyan team rocks:-)
