DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to send you the Request for Submissions for
  â€˜Putting evidence to work for better policies, programmes and pract
 ice: the What Works Global Summit 2016â€™Â (WWGS2016) being held in Lo
 ndon,Â 26-28 September 2016. WWGS2016 will be an international culture
 -shifting event, putting evidence at the heart of policy and practice.
  It will promote quality evidence and ways of producing and communicat
 ing evidence to maximise uptake into policy and practice.Please use th
 eÂ #wwgs2016Â hashtag to circulate the information widely on Twitter a
 nd other social media platforms.Â Â \nWe encourage active participatio
 n by policymakers, programme managers, media representatives, practiti
 oners and researchers, all of whom are encouraged to submit proposals 
 for the following:Â \n\nComplete panels for a 90-minute session with u
 p to three panelists using conventional presentations followed by Q&A.
 \nOrganisers strongly encourage sessions that use non-panel formats, i
 ncluding 'chat showâ€™ format with up to six guests and a host or a â€
 ˜fishbowlâ€™ format which includes participants from the audience.\nPr
 esentations: Individual presentations of new evidence, methods, approa
 ches and experiences of knowledge translation and brokering in any sec
 tor. The organisers will group accepted submissions into similar topic
  panels.\nPosters: Posters presenting new evidence, methods, approache
 s and experiences of knowledge translation and brokering in any sector
 .\nSubmissions are also requested for pre-conference workshops which w
 ill be held onÂ 24-25 September. We are looking for workshops on knowl
 edge generation, translation and supporting use of evidence in policy,
  programme management and practice. Submissions may also cover critica
 l evidence appraisal, media engagement and methods training. Workshops
  can range in duration from one to six blocks. Each block is 90 minute
 s.\n\nWWGS2016 is being organised by the Campbell Collaboration, Inter
 national Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie), Sense about Science, 
 and the What Works Research Centre at Queenâ€™s University Belfast.Sub
 mission must be made using theÂ WWGS online proposal form.Â  The deadl
