 10am - 11:30am EDT through GoToWebinar.\r\nHuman resources for health 
 can be a lever for health system change, and achieving an optimised he
 alth workforce will help to both deliver on the NCD targets enshrined 
 in the Sustainable Development Goals and attain universal health cover
 age (UHC). However, there remain numerous challenges and barriers impe
 ding the recruitment, training, and retention of a health workforce ca
 pable of responding to the NCD burden. According to the World Health O
 rganization, the global community must address a shortfall of an estim
 ated 18 million health workers in order to attain UHC commitments.\r\n
 This webinar will focus on the recently launched report on optimising 
 the health workforce to combat NCDs and achieve UHC, and will feature 
 three evidence-based approaches with presentations by the American Co
 llege of Cardiology, The George Institute for Global Health and FDI
