Hope all is well. Just to inform you that i have joined asafeworldforwomen and wouldn't mind volunteering as a research assistant. I have filled out a form to that effect. Thanks for letting me know about this organization that has a noble cause!
Thanks for accepting my friend request. I have read from your profile that we share similar concern for girls and women. Hopefully we shall learn a lot from each other. I will certainly join the safeworldforwomen.org. Thanks so much!
Many thanks for your inputs. Will surely follow your suggestions. Community action day was celebrated for the first time last year. The communities got together in their area, discussed their strengths, dreams, did self assessment and made action plans on topics of concern like domestic violence, drug abuse, HIV etc. For instance, a group of children in France got together to discuss how they could make their neighbourhood a better place to live in. This was then shared by the facilitators in the community action day group. The exchange and sharing thereafter in the group was very rich and encouraged members to mobilise communities.
Thanks for your encouraging words. How do you think can we can scale up and encourage other organisations and communities to observe community action day? Your inputs will be very valuable. The working group this year has suggested that youth take the lead in encouraging other groups to participate.
