How did you know about Constellation community?
Through team who believe in the common approach.
About Me:
I am learning how organisations can cultivate competent community responses. Cultivating the organisational will for the same is half work done. Ongoing learning from experience and resultant organisational adaptation takes care of the rest. I am amazed at the way how some organisations do it so well and curious how we could support others to do the same.
My dream:
Communities, organisations, academics and policy makers in sync - all responding, all learning, all increasing in competence....
I'm proud of:
The growing community of people who believe in the agency of individuals, families and communities to respond. The organisations and industry groups who cultivate such responses. The academics who notice the movement and write about it. The policy makers who make space for such initiatives, since they implicitly believe in such approaches.

Listen for feelings:

As a volunteer on a suicide helpline, I am trained in ‘active listening’ where we listen to the feelings of the person who is on the call. The feeling of being acknowledged, listened to and understood is a precious gift that we ‘offer’ to our callers on…

How and when did we get convinced of ACP?

Posted on July 30, 2009 at 1:34pm 1 Comment

We have all traveled different pathways before we have united in our belief in community strengths. It is interesting to reflect on the journey.

I was introduced to ACP in the beginning of my career and at that point, it did not make much sense to me. I tried hard to understand. Community immersions in various countries where ACP was practiced followed by constant debriefing with my mentors, reading up on manuals, participation in process analysis oriented on ACP followed. One day, I… Continue

Bobby - thanks for consolidating the self-assessment. You beat me to it, and I'm super-grateful! You're awesome.

Haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but I plan to ASAP.

Look after yourself, and your growing family!

Hi bobby, good to see you commented on some blogs. We should see your experiences more often here! Can you write something about our last visit? Perhaps the dreambuilding is that Krishnagiri village? I can have a look at it before posting?

Cheers, Gaston

Hi Bobby!
Please can you add your picture to your profile. It is so powerful to see the faces of all members over the world - and it makes it easier for people to connect.
Thanks! Marlou
