I am a development catalyst, I entered development field with student movement fighting for thier rights,volunteer for national lteracy program, rural developemnt field, then to Hiv field , since 1994 I have been in this field, having experience of grass root level to management level. I believe that communities or people have experience of dealing with issues so I am strong beliver in community's strength and capacity
My dream:
competent people or communities where they were deal with all types of issues around them
people living in safe environment where there is no stigma and discrimination and easy access to services,rights and entitlements
I'm proud of:

Elections in sex worker CBOs : Celebrating togetherness, demonstrating democracy

Recently, I was part of the general elections of the sex worker CBOs in five districts in Karnataka. The experience showed me once again, just how much these communities have been able to come together, accept each other as 'us' as part of a family, and want to be there for each other. Songs for change

Songs are powerful tools to inspire change in people. Samraksha teams and the communities have composed and popularized many songs. These are songs challenging stigma, promoting positive living and promoting bonding among and across communities. Here are some instances which particularly stuck me, about the power of songs.

SALT visit to Indian Pineapple village

SALT visit to Molvom village

Molvom village is known as Indian Pineapple village which is nearly 30km from Dimapur in Nagaland. ACP facilitators’ team was invited by Mr Haolai for a SALT visit to his village on 5th Nov 2009. The team was given a warm welcome when they reached at 7pm.



Immediately after arrival, an announcement was made through the public address system and men, women and youth gathered even though they had just arrived from the farm.
