This is so encouraging http://aidscompetence.ning.com/profile/EricUWINTWAZA but i would like to urge you to also look into the inner talents and skills of this young people apart from just their economic needs ok.We have a wonderful program that initiates the spirit of young people developing their talents and skills to sustain their livelihood.Africa is facing a challenge of unemployment and young people have to be creative to capitalize on their assets to create a future for themselves. Please alias with me to give you some materials on asset and capacity development for young people right. And am so happy for the spirit you are having of changing the community.

Yes Rituu, most of them are laureates of university but did not find jobs. So they see themselves as losers who can't access to any job. SALT is trying to reveal their inner strengths to initiate economic projects based on their own will and capabilities. But they also discover they can reach their dreams without dealing with some challenges related to health and environment. So they integrate them in the work plan of small feasible actions.

We bring them in a process of dialogue with themselves (for which purpose am I living in this world) leading to dream, dialogue with communities (parents, administration, NGOs, etc.) to draw together community assets and needs, identify their talents and competencies and assess their level against reaching their dream. This week we will facilitate the development of their action plan and define together a coaching plan during implementation. They declare already having economic initiatives we can document since the program began.

This is one of pictures showing young people in the CLCP about developping their talents to initiate projects that matter for them, for their families and their communities.

The pic shows a lady with a ball passing from hand to hands to reflect on previous session.

The guy with a blue shirt is one of Burundi Competence facilitator.

The CLCP is supported by 'Fondation Roi Beaudouin'.
