The celebration was simple but impacting and inspiring. Of course there expressions of appreciation in words, songs, and dances….
The day started with a tour of the home, which included information of the services, the bedroom facility, the kitchen garden, the poultry egg unit and the hives of bees. The produce from the farming activities are for the kitchen, while the surplus is sold to neighbors and public. The caring and maintenance of each unit is accomplished by the staff and residents.
“Sometimes when it rains we, all run in the rain to the back fence and run back to the front…that is like a therapy for us”.
